September 30th 2020: It’s time to take up a new sport this winter! The Ski Club of Ireland, Kilternan kicks off the Ski Season on October 5th next! The Ski instructor team have just completed all of their refresher training, and they are now ready to welcome skiers and snowboarders for the season, which will run until Easter 2021. www.skiclub.ie



September 29th 2020: Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber has a new President. Brian Kirwan was elected President of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Chamber at its AGM in August 2020 which was ratified by the Board in September and now takes up office.



14 September 2020: To mark Culture Night going online this year (Friday 18 September), The Hunt Museum, Limerick, is inviting people to unleash their inner creativity and create a GIF from a Hunt Museum object or image.



SIXT Ireland, one of Europe’s leading car-hire companies, now in Ireland for over nine years, has been looking at innovative ways to offer car-hire, with the downturn in inbound tourism business for 2020, due to the Covid-19 crisis.



The Hunt Museum has developed a series of educational costume design workshops, lectures and downloadable content for families, students and individuals to complement its current exhibition ‘Best Costume Goes To...’ including a Masterclass with award-winning costume designer Joan Bergin.

3 July 2020: The stage is set and the red carpet has been rolled out as The Hunt Museum opens its doors and welcomes the public back after 16 weeks of closure with the news that ‘Best Costume Goes To... is staying until 14 November. To mark the re-opening, two new costumes have been added to the exhibit; a dress worn by Meryl Streep playing the character Kate Mundy in Dancing at Lughnasa and an outfit worn by Angela Lansbury in the 2017 TV Series Little Women.



Coolakay House and Heritage Centre reopens today 7th July inviting visitors to come and experience summertime on the farm, located beside the iconic Wicklow Way walking trail and Powerscourt Waterfall.
