This year’s Arena di Verona Opera Festival runs from 7 June to 7 September 2024 and is dedicated the centenary of Puccini’s death. Verona’s renowned Opera Festival is known internationally as one of the most spectacular in the world and has previously hosted some of the world’s greatest opera singers. Built in the 1st century AD to accommodate 20,000 spectators, the Arena has been used for opera since the 19th century.

Marty will be broadcasting live from the festival on Marty in the Morning RTE’s Lyric FM from
7am – 10am on Friday 16th of August with the programme featuring his unique take on Puccini as well as behind the scenes interviews with the stars of Puccini’s ‘Tosca’.
