Unearth the Magic of Opera Set Amongst the Ancient Stone of One of Europe’s Oldest Quarries – ‘Aida’ at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival in Austria.

This summer, Institute for CultureTravel (IFC) invites you to witness one of the world’s most timeless masterpieces performed in one of the world’s most unique venues set amidst the enchanting landscapes of Austria. The St. Margarethen Opera Festival featuring Verdi’s ‘Aida’ and set against the breathtaking backdrop of Europe's largest open-air arena promises to be an unforgettable cultural experience for opera enthusiasts and cultural explorers alike. Nestled within the historic St. Margarethen Quarry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its Roman heritage, the festival provides a mesmerizing setting for the sublime melodies of ‘Aida’, the story of the forbidden love between the Egyptian leader Radames and a beautiful Ethiopian princess.

Guests will embark on a captivating journey beginning in Vienna, a city steeped in centuries-old traditions of civilised culture. The Austrian capital, home to iconic landmarks such as the Schönbrunn Palace, offers a perfect blend of architectural marvels, beautiful palaces, ancient streets, public gardens and street cafes, making it a quintessential European destination for lovers of art and music.

The four-night itinerary, carefully curated by IFC’s travel experts, encompasses a delightful array of experiences, from wine-tasting at Austria's renowned vineyards to an exclusive evening of dinner and music at the opulent Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs.

"We are thrilled to offer this extraordinary opportunity for our customers to experience the magic of ‘Aida’ performed in such a unique and breathtaking setting.” said Caroline Quigley, General Manager of Institute for CultureTravel.
