Sixt Ireland launches €9.99 daily Car Rental Rate for locals in Ireland - as restrictions lift on 8th June 2020 - Safe and Sanitised

SIXT Ireland launches €9.99 daily car rental rate for locals in Ireland

SIXT Ireland, one of Europe’s leading car-hire companies, now in Ireland for over nine years, has been looking at innovative ways to offer car-hire, with the downturn in inbound tourism business for 2020, due to the Covid-19 crisis.

With domestic travel restrictions lifting, firstly in June and then in July, people have a need to get moving. And while we can’t yet get on plane and travel abroad, yet, it is a perfect time to explore Ireland. Or simply enjoying the freedom of return to work, while maintaining social distancing.

Public transport is curtailed, but even with the restrictions you are still in a confined area with other people. Not the most comforting place to be!

Short term car hire may solve the issue of issues and fears relating to travelling on public transport during this time. Providing a Safe and Sanitized way for you to travel to and from work, ensuring that you maintain Social Distancing at all times.

We find many people living and working in Dublin don’t want the hassle of owning a car for day to day purposes, but do enjoy a weekend getaway or just the convenience of having a car at the weekend to get to the shopping outlets!

So, SIXT Ireland has launched a €9.99 per day rental deal – with 3 day minimum length of hire for 2020 and unlimited mileage.   This offer is available on www.sixt.ie , or by contacting reservations on 01-235 2030 and cars can be picked up at one of SIXT’s 6 pick-up points around Dublin, including Dublin Airport, and Dun Laoghaire. And also at SIXT’s locations in Cork Airport and Shannon Airport.

This offer is specifically for the vehicle in the pictures! But if you want something different Sixt do have a full fleet of Vehicles available including one of the best fleets of premium vehicles in the country.

The terms are subject to SIXT’s normal car-hire policies, in relation to age, license, etc.

Said Adrian Treacy,  Corporate Sales Manager, SIXT “ like all companies in the travel and tourism industry, 2020 is the time for us to pivot as a business and ensure that we protect our staff, and our business, and look at services we can provide to the Irish market, as we wait for tourism to recover.  We have an excellent new fleet of vehicles and we believe that this offer will be excellent for those who want to explore Ireland occasionally, in a safe socially distanced way.  Our fleet is meticulously sanitized in line with both normal car-hire standards, and new Covid-19 standards.   And that will give a huge comfort to those who have concerns at present”.
