Paint Them Gold: Aoibheann’s Pink Tie Invites Ireland to Shine for Childhood Cancer Awareness this September!
Every day in Ireland, families hear the devastating words: “your child has cancer.” Childhood cancer affects not just the child, but parents, siblings and entire communities.
This September, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie is inviting people across the world to join its Paint Them Gold for Childhood Cancer campaign by painting their nails the international colour of childhood cancer awareness, gold or yellow.
The campaign is a fun and visible way to show solidarity with children in treatment, remembering those we have lost and support families facing the toughest of journey of their lives.
How to get involved:
- Paint your nails gold or yellow during September, share your photos on social media tagging Aoibheann’s Pink Tie and challenge four friends to join you
- Challenge friends, family and colleagues in Ireland and abroad by tagging them on socials.
- Donate €1 per nail to help Aoibheann’s Pink Tie continue its work supporting families of children with cancer www.idonate.ie/gold
- Request a complimentary Childhood Cancer Awareness Pack to be posted out to you which includes a gold ribbon pin, gold nail stickers, a gold ribbon temporary tattoo and wristband by contacting Dee at dee@aoibheannspinktie.ie or WhatsApp 087 2637326. Posters are also available to help workplaces, shops and clubs spread the message.
Whether you go all out with gold, add a ribbon sticker to your favourite colour or simply wear the ribbon pin, your participation helps shine a light on childhood cancer awareness.
Speaking about the campaign, Jimmy Norman, Co-Founder of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie said “This September we want to see Ireland shine with gold for children with cancer. It’s a very simple act, but together we can raise awareness, funds and solidarity for the families who need it most.”
Aoibheann’s Pink Tie continues to work directly with families across Ireland, providing practical and emotional support during childhood cancer treatment. By joining the campaign, the public can help ensure that no family has to face this journey alone.
