International First Responders Step into the Ring for Battle of the Badges in Support of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie – Templemore, 3rd May 2026
Templemore is set to come alive on Sunday, 3rd May as the International Battle of the Badges makes a highly anticipated return, bringing together some of the world’s toughest first responders for an unforgettable night of boxing, all in support of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, Ireland’s National Children’s Cancer Charity.
In a truly unique event, frontline heroes from around the world will swap their uniforms for boxing gloves, as police officers and firefighters from Ireland, the UK and the USA step into the ring, not for glory but for a cause far greater than themselves. Taking place at Our Lady’s Secondary School in Templemore, the night will see these international heroes go head-to-head with the Irish Firefighter Boxing Team and members of An Garda Síochána in a series of high- energy bouts, with match-ups to be announced in the coming weeks.
Supported by Templemore Boxing Club and organised by local firefighter and Head Coach of the Irish Firefighters Boxing Team, Paddy Clavin, this is no ordinary fight night. It’s a powerful show of solidarity from emergency service personnel worldwide, united by their shared experiences on the frontline and their determination to make a real difference in the lives of children and families facing cancer.
