Irish choir, Sea of Change, have been invited to Brussels for World Cancer Day’s 20th anniversary in the European Parliament. The Choir, who were finalists in Ireland’s Got Talent 2019, is made up of cancer survivors and their supporters. They are also the organisers of the extremely successful Strip and Dip charity event which saw them break the Guinness World Record for Largest Skinny Dip in 2018 in aid of their charity partner, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, spearheaded by Dee Featherstone.

There is however a twist to the story!

Today, live, following a meeting with MEP Frances Fitzgerald, and MEP Mairead McGuinness, The Sea of Change Choir will sing LIVE as a surprise at around 2.15pm.

Check out the Webcam!

There will be video footage, if anyone requires same.

Going from strength to strength, the choir have been invited  to Brussels for a surprise performance at the European Parliament which will see them stand up flash mob style to sing along live with a pre recorded video featuring Sea of Change which the attendees will be watching.

In addition, Ryanair gave  them the permission to serenade unsuspecting passengers on the flight over with an impromptu performance at the departure gate on an early flight to Brussels this morning! They return tonight!

Created in 2000, World Cancer Day every 4th of February is the global uniting initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalysing personal, collective and government action, they work to reimagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all. Each year, hundreds of activities and events take place around the world, gathering communities, organisations and individuals in schools, businesses, hospitals, marketplaces, parks, community halls, places of worship - in the streets and online - acting as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in reducing the global impact of cancer.
