Over 90,000 Irish skiers have missed their ski holidays over the pandemic with a pent up demand to get back on piste.  Bookings are well up across the ski market, and indications are that the market will kick off well before Christmas, as resorts open early,

depending on ski conditions.

With this in mind, and the need to get skiers back on the slopes again, The Ski Club of Ireland in Kilternan is hosting Alpine Fest on the the 25th and 26th September, with guest instructors from some of the great Austrian Ski resorts you all know and love.

From Tirol we will have experts  from St.Anton, and from Salzburgerland we will have guest instructors from Obertauern and Flachau from the legendary Herman Maier Ski School.

The event has been made possible thanks to sponsorship from DLR Tourism,  with Salzburgerland and Tirol ski regions of Austria, supporting the Ski Club of Ireland and their other ongoing sponsors and partners as listed below!

Austria has been voted Best Winter Ski Destination from Ireland for years, and within the ski market, while other countries are popular, such as France, Switzerland, Italy and Andorra, Austria remains No.1 on the Irish market.

As part of this Alpine Fest,The Ski Club of Ireland  will be celebrating the hard work and skill sets of their  own amazing volunteer ski instructors – 90 of them - while also welcoming these special guest instructors from Salburgerland and Tirol,
